October 23, 2007 HOUSTON - Today, SAT Corporation announced they will standardize on
Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 as part of SAT’s
IntelaTrac Mobile
Workforce and Decision Support System.
To gain competitive advantage in manufacturing, industry leaders are
looking to maximize the potential of their people while reducing
operating costs. SAT’s IntelaTrac Mobile
Workforce Management and Decision Support Software enables manufacturing
companies to manage people, processes, and plant equipment as a key
enabler for improving plant reliability, enterprise asset management,
workforce management, regulatory compliance, and safety. For many plant
workers, supervisors, and managers today, coordination and collaborative
problem solving is now the essence of their work -- so timely access to
information for improved decision making and better collaboration is
becoming a priority to increase productivity.
“We believe Microsoft’s
mobile platform will prevail as the preferred Multi-Channel Access
Gateway for customers seeking enterprise wide mobile deployments with
applications such as our IntelaTrac Mobile Workforce and Decision
Support System. Our selection criteria was clear –
SAT customers have standardized on Microsoft’s
network infrastructure, so mobile device management and integrated
security should be part of their enterprise infrastructure stack.
Microsoft is the leader when it comes to network infrastructure, and SAT
is standardizing on Mobile Device Manager in order to provide a unified
computing foundation for our enterprise customers,”
remarked SAT Corp CEO Don Frieden.
"The Microsoft customers that have standardized on SAT’s
IntelaTrac can now extend their device security and management with
Mobile Device Manager,” said John Dietz,
group product manager at Microsoft Corp. “This
new mobile device management software is the latest example of how
Microsoft provides enterprise class solutions that reduce the costs and
complexities of mobile deployments.”
