SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 7 2008 -- McAfee, Inc. today announced the appointment of Steve
Redman as president of the Asia Pacific region, reporting to Michael DeCesare, executive vice president of sales operations at McAfee. Redman begins in his new role immediately and will be responsible for sales in North Asia, South East Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand.
"Steve is a proven leader, having tremendous previous success in driving results in all three key core business components -- employee, customer/partner and shareholder success," said DeCesare. "He is one of the strongest sales executives I have ever worked with and possesses a rare combination of operational excellence and strong people skills. We are confident Steve will help McAfee take our APAC business to the next level."
Redman joins McAfee from EMC, where he held the position of vice president of Asia Pacific. In this position, Redman had responsibility for the field operations of EMC Software Group across Asia Pacific and Japan. This includes successfully merging companies such as Documentum and Legato into the EMC Software group. Prior to EMC, Redman was general manager of Rockwell Electronic Commerce and held positions at Lucent Technologies and Fuji Xerox, with roles in marketing and general management.

Redman holds a diploma in A/S engineering and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Macquarie University. He is also a member of the Nobel Laureates Advisory Board, and is an associate lecturer in the MBA program at the University of Technology, Sydney.
