Cellit Mobile Marketing Powers Text Messaging Campaigns for the Museum of Contemporary Art Print E-mail
CHICAGO, Illinois  January 30 2008 -- Cellit, Mobile Marketing announced today that it is

providing the real-time text messaging and display technologies for the Museum of Contemporary Arts "Digital Post Office of Love," as part of their upcoming First Friday event happening February 1, 2008 at the museum.

The Digital Post Office of Love features a large interactive display, where attendees will be able to use their mobile phones to instantly post messages to woo other participants at the event, all in the spirit of Valentines Day. Each message that is texted will appear instantly on a large interactive display for all participants to view and the intended recipient will receive notice on their cell phone.

"We are very excited to continue our work with the MCA on this engaging application," said David Wachs, president of Cellit. "While the MCA is a longstanding client, this fun project allows us to demonstrate the attraction of mobile technology in a social environment. By combining our messaging platform with our real-time signage technology, weve created an interactive display that really complements the atmosphere of the MCAs First Friday event.

The MCA also currently uses Cellit technology to manage their on-going mobile marketing efforts, directed at both existing MCA members and potential patrons. These efforts include, among other things, prize giveaways and event reminders. The Digital Post office of Love is part of the MCAs February installment of the First Friday event, one of the most successful programs for the MCA.

February is always the most popular First Fridays and the Digital Post Office of Love is going to be better than ever, said Michelle Zis, Marketing Coordinator at the MCA. Attendees will enjoy live music from local DJs, while mingling and viewing current exhibitions. Each month features an up-and-coming Chicago artist in a preview of the latest UBS 12 x 12: New Artists/New Work exhibition.

"Involving participants via text messaging is a natural extension of the First Friday event, continued Wachs. "The MCA consistently creates a hip, social environment where people thrive on interaction with one another. The Digital Post Office of Love will provide one more vehicle for that interaction. With Cellit, the MCA has found a partner that is able to realize the events full potential."

The Digital Post Office of Love and The First Friday event will be taking place February 1, from 6-10pm at The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, located at 220 East Chicago Avenue.
