NextPhase Wireless Names Juan "Kiko" Suarez as New Chief Marketing Officer Print E-mail
ANAHEIM, Calif.,  February 6, 2008 - NextPhase Wireless, Inc., a nationwide developer of

WiMAX-ready networks and provider of advanced wireless broadband solutions, today announced the appointment of Juan "Kiko" Suarez as the Company's new Chief Marketing Officer, who is charged with guiding and directing NextPhase's national marketing, branding and communications strategies. Based in the Company's Blackwood, New Jersey facility, Suarez will also provide executive oversight of NextPhase's East Coast Operations.

With more than 15 years of experience as a senior marketing and communications executive at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont), Suarez most recently served as the Company's Head of Corporate Communications for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region, where he led corporate public relations in 20 countries and managed an annual communications budget of more than $10 million. Other DuPont posts included Regional Leader/Corporate Brand for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region; Global Online Communications Leader and Media Relations Officer for IT/eBusiness; Corporate Communications Country Manager for Spain and Portugal; and IT/Operations Manager in Asturias, Spain, which at the time was DuPont's largest Greenfield site in the world. Immediately prior to joining NextPhase, Suarez was Global Director of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Business Continuity of CEMEX, a Fortune 500 company with revenues over $20 billion annually and over 50,000 employees worldwide.

He began his career in 1988 when he founded Hypermedia Systems, a multimedia start-up providing digital video, animation and 3D rendering for companies and institutions in the fields of education, technology, government and engineering. Bilingual in both English and Spanish and functional in French, Suarez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Oviedo in Spain, where he also earned secondary degrees in Management of Telecommunications and New Media. In addition, he earned an MBA in Business Communication from Oxford International University and an Executive MBA from Thesseus Business School in France. A frequent guest lecturer and author of industry articles and papers, he also led an external collaboration with the Da Vinci Institute, serving as the non-profit futurist think tank's Director of Global Operations.
