Stay-Linked Adds Device Management to Industry-Leading Thin-Client Solution Print E-mail
TUSTIN, Calif.  March 4, 2008 - Stay-Linked Corporation, an industry leader in host-based,

thin-client wireless terminal emulation and session management, today announced the addition of fully integrated Device Management to its software solution. Now available as a separately licensed component of Version 9, Stay-Linked Device Management includes an OEM version of Odyssey Software's industry-standard Athena client software. The new Device Management functionality further enhances Stay-Linked's position as The New Standard™ for wireless terminal connectivity to critical business applications.

The set of device management functionality added with this latest release enables the help desk to centrally control mobile devices deployed throughout the enterprise network. Key interactive features include Device Remote Control; Management of the File System, Running Processes, Installed Applications, and Registry; Viewing of Network Properties and Status; and Software Provisioning.

"Our pre-release demonstration of Stay-Linked Device Management at the Motorola Enterprise Mobility Conference in October generated instant demand from within our existing base of customers who rely on Stay-Linked's rock-solid connectivity and powerful GUI-based Administrator console," said David Griffith, president and CEO of Stay-Linked Corporation. "Our customers who want to add Device Management capabilities to Stay-Linked prefer getting it from us. They appreciate the high quality of our solutions and support, which they tell us is far superior to that of our competitors."

Help desk staff can now use the same Stay-Linked Administrator GUI console they use for centralized management of host-resident terminal emulation user sessions and configuration settings to perform all of the new device management functions.

Additionally, the same thin-client host connection protocol (Client2Host™) used for Stay-Linked terminal emulation sessions is also used for device management. Unlike non-integrated alternatives, there is no need to implement web services or configure additional host ports.

Version 9 also delivers new features and expanded capabilities to core Stay-Linked Terminal Emulation and Session Management, which are now available in a free downloadable upgrade for all Stay-Linked users under current support and maintenance. Stay-Linked installs quickly and easily and is available for evaluation as a fully functional, no-charge, 30-day trial from authorized Stay-Linked Certified Partner resellers and select device manufacturers.

Stay-Linked supports a wide range of wireless terminal devices from manufacturers that include Symbol/Motorola, Intermec, LXE, Psion-Teklogix, AML, PSC, HHP, and others.
