Catalyst Mobile Appoints Richard Schank as CFO Print E-mail
EMERYVILLE, Calif.  March 17, 2008 -- Catalyst Mobile, a provider of next-generation mobile

music and entertainment services, today announced the addition of Richard Schank as chief financial officer. Schank brings over 22 years of finance experience to Catalyst Mobile and has been in the consumer products industry for the past nine years.

As chief financial officer, Schank will oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting, debt and equity fund raising, financial management of mergers and acquisitions, benefit and compensation, investor relations, information technology, and the creation and management of globally implemented, multi-dimensional accountability structures. As part of the executive management team, Schank is charged with growing the company through scalable business models, global partnerships, and strategic investments.

Prior to joining Catalyst Mobile, Schank served as vice president of planning for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, a division of Nestlé since 2003. Schank played a key role in executing Nestlé's acquisition of Dreyer's, the largest ice cream manufacturer in the United States, which provided both a unique governance structure and superior returns to Dreyer's shareholders.

Prior to Dreyer's, Schank held multiple finance positions at Chevron Corporation, the second largest integrated oil company in the United States. His responsibilities culminated at Chevron in building a respected internal consulting capability able to address major strategic issues facing the company.

Schank received an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago and bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
