Berggi Launches Video Service to Global Mobile Phone Market Print E-mail
PALO ALTO, Calif.  Apro; 7, 2008 -- Berggi, an emerging leader in the mobile online applications

and services market, today announced the beta release of BerggiVideo, a global mobile video entertainment service for mobile phone users. Users of BerggiVideo around the world can select, stream or download and watch fresh video content or "picks" selected by video jockeys (VJs). BerggiVideo is free for all users, and registration is available at http://www.berggivideo.com.

BerggiVideo now makes watching video from the mobile phone simpler and easier than ever before. BerggiVideo follows the globally successful BerggiMail, a simple mobile email application designed to give all mobile phone users access to mobile email. BerggiMail now has over 3 million users worldwide since its launch just over a year ago. "What Berggi did for mobile email, we are now doing for mobile video," said Babur Ozden, CEO of Berggi. "It is simple, quick, and easy."

The simplicity of BerggiVideo is driven from a real-world approach for viewing web videos on the mobile phone -- the mobile user is not burdened with a selection of millions of videos on his/her mobile phone. Instead, BerggiVideo offers a selection of one hundred videos, each personally handpicked by a VJ, and the entire selection changes every hour. "This is the MTV model," said Ozden. "Our VJs are tapped into what the hottest and most interesting videos are on the Internet at any given time. With BerggiVideo, users can watch the best web videos of the hour, right on their mobile phones."

Whether making a call, checking email or playing a game on, people worldwide tend to use their mobile phones for periods of a few minutes throughout their day. "BerggiVideo makes watching video on your mobile phone fun even when you have just a few minutes to kill," said Ozden.

Users register on the BerggiVideo website submitting only their mobile phone number. After receiving and opening a text message on their mobile phone, users download the BerggiVideo application to their phone and can begin using the service immediately and for free. Users also can choose or remove VJs to personalize BerggiVideo picks for their preferences.

Currently, BerggiVideo is compatible with any Java-enabled MIPD 2.0 mobile phone or above. The service runs in the U.S. on the AT&T and Sprint networks, and any carrier network in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Additional compatible phones will be added to the service.

Berggi is also accepting applications for new VJs to create their own BerggiVideo channels.
