FusionOne Announces Network Address Book
SAN JOSE, Calif. June 17, 2008 -- FusionOne, a leading
provider of mobile phone backup and transfer services, today announced
the availability of FusionOne Network Address Book, a new service that
brings together address books across a wide range of communications
services, providing end-users with the ability to globally access and
manage their address books.
Currently, most people have many different address books: their email
accounts, their mobile phone, and the “friends
lists” on their social networks. Up until now,
they have had to manage and edit all of these lists individually, but
with FusionOne Network Address Book, they can now organize and manage
all of their address books through a single interface and share their
contacts across their different address books and social networks.
FusionOne Network Address Book automatically keeps all contacts
up-to-date across numerous applications and devices including mobile and
landline phones, email, instant messaging, and Web 2.0 services.
Operators can now increase customer satisfaction and usability and
reduce churn by simplifying their subscribers’
contact management tasks and communication exchanges.
“For many mobile users, the idea of
re-entering contact information in each device and application can be
daunting,” said Mohan Sadashiva, senior vice
president of marketing for FusionOne. “The
FusionOne Network Address Book eliminates the need for replicating those
lists. It allows subscribers to access their latest contacts from
anywhere at any time.”
“This service gives operators the opportunity
to develop and successfully deploy rich applications,”
said Perry LaForge, founder and chairman of the CDMA Development Group. “It
will be ideal for those providers looking to build applications based on
mobile social networks and advanced messaging.”
FusionOne and EMBARQ to Provide Unified Address Book Capabilities
SAN JOSE, Calif. June 17, 2008 -- FusionOne, a leading
provider of mobile phone backup and restore services, and EMBARQ, a
provider of a complete suite of communications services, today announced
a relationship that will enable EMBARQ to offer one of the industry’s
first centralized, native address book solutions that integrates with
the company’s current and future
communications services. EMBARQ will be the first communications company
to roll out this FusionOne service.
“Offering innovative solutions to our
customers is the key to our success,” said
Dennis Huber, senior vice president of corporate strategy and
development for EMBARQ. “We value our
relationship with FusionOne and look forward to working with them to
develop new services for our customers.”
EMBARQ expects to launch the service in tandem with FusionOne’s
industry-leading MightyBackup mobile content protection solution, which
provides subscribers the added benefit of being able to restore their
mobile address book data if their phone is ever lost, stolen, or
upgraded. All FusionOne services are hosted on the company’s
secure, carrier-grade data centers.
“The FusionOne Network Address Book is a
natural progression from our traditional backup and restore service
offerings,” said Tamara Steffens, senior vice
president of customer operations for FusionOne. “We
believe that this experience, coupled with EMBARQ’s
commitment to providing innovative products and services to its
customers, will make the availability of the FusionOne Network Address
Book a huge success.”
