test equipment and channel emulators for WiMAX, 4G and Wi-Fi, today announced that George Reed has joined its management team as vice president of marketing and product management. In this role, Reed will be responsible for developing the company's long term strategy, as well as focusing marketing initiatives and product management functions to drive Azimuth's continuing revenue growth.

Reed brings over 24 years of U.S. and international experience in the wireless and telecom industries, joining Azimuth from Fujitsu, where he served as the senior director of wireless access responsible for the strategic direction, product planning and product management for market entry of Fujitsu's mobile WiMAX and LTE products into the North American market. Additionally, Reed was responsible for management and direction of Fujitsu partner companies with Wi-Fi and fixed WiMAX products.

Prior to Fujitsu, Reed also held various multi-functional vice president and senior leadership roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Alcatel, ADC and Hughes Network Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
