Commenting on the appointment, Margaret Rice-Jones, CEO at AIRCOM said, “With the demands of new and developing network technologies such as WiMAX and LTE, there will be new pressures on operators to optimise networks and protect themselves from financial worry by reducing their CAPEX and OPEX costs.  Ricky’s arrival lets us bring the different parts of our business together more effectively and provide more complete solutions that enable our customers to better meet the challenges ahead.”

AIRCOM provides a wide range of mobile network engineering tools and consultancy services to a global customer base.  It works with the likes of China Mobile, Orange, T-Mobile, Telefonica, Telstra, Vodacom and Vodafone, and was recently named the market leading supplier of engineering tools by software analyst house, OSS Observer.

“Having worked for years to try and get the best out of a mobile network, I wanted to play a role in developing solutions that will support operators in the future,” said Watts.  “AIRCOM is leading the way in this industry with its expert consultants and ENTERPRISE tool suite, and I’m greatly looking forward to working closely with operators as they roll out next generation mobile services to their customers.”
