Quattro Wireless Helps Gear up Patriots’ Season with Launch of New Mobile Site Print E-mail
WALTHAM, Mass.  Aug. 7, 2008 -- Quattro Wireless today announced that it is expanding its

relationship with the NFL by partnering with the New England Patriots to bring football fans up-to-date news and additional features right on their mobile devices. Launching for the 2008 season, the site is the ultimate place on the mobile web to retrieve in-depth Patriots content. In keeping with the Patriots reputation for both on- and off-field innovation, the Patriots mobile site will offer fans breaking news, podcasts, instant in-game tracker plus NFL mobile, also powered by Quattro. To access the site, fans will simply go to www.patriots.mobi on their mobile phone browser.

By joining the powerhouse sports channel in the Quattro Mobile Ad Network, the sites ad sales will be exclusively managed by Quattro.

Smartphone use is really reaching critical mass here in the US, said Fred Kirsch, director of interactive media for the New England Patriots. Patriots fans are particularly tech-savvy and are always looking for new and interesting ways to get information on their team. Content owners like the Patriots now have to offer digital information where their consumers want it rather than a single destination. Quattro has given us a fresh way to deliver our fans what they want, when they want it.

With the site and advertisements hosted on Quattros platform, the patriots.mobi site serves up unprecedented in-depth content to satisfy the appetite of any Patriots fan including podcasts, as well as weekly and exclusively-mobile Patriots Now videos offering 1-2 minute clips of the latest team news. The site features breaking news, team updates, rosters, schedules, a photo gallery, Patriots ProShop information and game reports.

Quattro anticipates that with the growth of the mobile web and the sports audiences appetite for real-time information, the Patriots mobile site, and similar sports-driven sites within the Quattro network, will be popular with fans, said Lars Albright, vice president of business development with Quattro Wireless. With the Patriots' rich interactivity and breaking news feature on their new site, it is positioned to be a user-friendly experience and a leading site in sports.

Using Quattros Juicing technology and platform, the dynamic feed process incorporated into the site allows it to be updated with real-time game statistics and equips it to handle the expected high traffic volumes received on game days. The site provides a breaking news section conveniently placed at the top of the homepage, displaying the most interesting and important news as soon as it breaks making the site the most up-to-date location to retrieve Patriots information on the mobile web.

Quattro is also working to incorporate content from its powered NFL site to repurpose Gamecenter information, consisting of detailed live game stats, available soon.
