Aug. 4, 2008 -- The real internet on the mobile phone has been limited to users of
premier mobile
phones in the past. But now, Telefónica O2 Germany
presents a solution for the broad mass. Effective immediately, O2
customers will be able to load the new and free Internet-to-Go browser
on their mobile phone to surf the web like they are used to from their
PC. The new browser is based on the Opera Mini 4.1 version and enables
users to represent single sections of the sites more rapidly and also
magnify them on the display of their mobile phone. The costs for
surfing the net on the mobile phone amount to only 9 cents per minute
or. Users who want to surf the web almost without any limitations will
pay € 10 a month.
O2 Internet-to-Go enables users to view web sites they access on
their mobile phones in the format they are familiar with from the PC or
laptop. O2 customers who do not yet have a mobile phone which is
internet compatible, the company offers a free O2 Internet-to-Go
browser which can be easily loaded on the mobile phone. Thanks to
zooming features and a mouse pointer, content can be represented on the
mobile phone just like on the home PC. As a result, users rapidly and
easily visit their favorite web sites, access web mails, track online
auction, obtain information on news sites or simply plan the weekend
while they are on the road.
Cost transparency
Ideal for testing the O2
Internet-to-Go offer is the standard tariff for 9 Cents a minute
already provided with O2 contract tariffs – users just download the
browser and surf the internet at low cost per minute. In addition, the

the mobile phone almost unlimited. 200 Megabytes of inclusive volume
