PORTLAND, Ore. Aug. 18, 2008 -- Tyfone, a global provider of mobile financial services
infrastructure
including fully-integrated mobile payments capabilities, today announced
that Don Bloodworth has joined the company as its Chief Financial
Officer. Bloodworth is a seasoned executive leader with deep experience
in finance and operations, along with diverse technology skills and
industry knowledge across a broad array of industries.
In his new role, Bloodworth will lead Tyfone’s
finance and accounting disciplines while providing guidance on a wide
variety of operational matters. Based in Tyfone’s
Portland, Oregon headquarters, he will oversee the company’s
finances and operations on a global basis including Tyfone’s
offices in Bangalore and Taiwan.

Before joining Tyfone, Bloodworth served as an investor and consultant
to emerging stage companies including Vancouver, Washington-based Techjet
Imaging, which was recently named the fastest growing company in
Southwest Washington. Previously, he served as CFO and COO of
Medicalogic/Medscape and CFO of GST Telecommunications, where he
successfully led the company’s sale to Time
Warner Telecom.
Bloodworth began his career as a CPA at Deloitte and Touche before
moving to PacifiCorp, a diversified electric utility, where he spent
over 16 years in various senior positions within their corporate finance
group. At PacifiCorp, he also held senior leadership roles in their
telecommunications and financial services subsidiaries, including
financial responsibility for the company’s
Australian investment. Mr. Bloodworth also served as Corporate
Controller at AirTouch Communications (now part of Verizon Wireless) and
at 3Com Corporation during the spin-off and IPO of Palm.
Bloodworth earned his CPA designation from the State of Oregon and holds
a Bachelor's in Accounting from Portland State University, Portland,
Oregon.
