Aug. 18, 2008 -- Today, NXP announced the transition of their Senior VP, Global Sales, Pascal
Langlois to the newly formed company of ST-NXP. Concurrently, the latter announced that Pascal Langlois will be the new Corporate VP, Sales & Marketing.
NXP Global Sales Management Executive change
Eindhoven, Netherlands Aug. 18, 2008 -- NXP
Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by
Philips, today announced that Pascal Langlois, Senior Vice President,
Global Sales, will transfer to the newly created wireless joint
venture, ST-NXP Wireless, with effect from 1 September.
Pascal will be appointed Corporate Vice President Sales and
Marketing of ST-NXP Wireless, bringing to the new company a strong
track record in sales management.
‘While I regret the loss of Pascal's experience for NXP, I would
like to congratulate Pascal on this appointment and wish him every
success in the JV. We are proud that three senior executives from NXP
will have key roles driving the success of ST-NXP Wireless. Pascal will
work alongside Marc Cetto and Abhijit Bhattacharya who were both
announced already,’ commented NXP Chief Executive Officer Frans van
Houten.
Pascal joined NXP in 1999 following the acquisition of VLSI. In 2006
he was appointed SVP Global Sales following a successful period
responsible for channel management and global sales for the Multimarket
Semiconductor Business Unit.
Alexander Everke, Senior Vice President and General Manager,
Multimarket Semiconductors Business Unit will assume responsibility,
alongside his current role, for the global sales function at NXP on an
interim basis.

ST-NXP Wireless Appoints Corporate VP Sales and Marketing
Geneva, Switz. Aug. 18, 2008 -- ST-NXP Wireless, a new top-three player in
semiconductors for wireless communications, offering leading-edge
solutions for 2G, 3G, LTE, multimedia, and connectivity, today
announced that Pascal Langlois will join the Company as Corporate Vice
President, Sales and Marketing, effective September 1, 2008.
Expanding
the executive team composed of experienced industry leaders, Langlois,
most recently NXP's Senior Vice President, Global Sales, for the entire
Corporation, brings to the joint venture a track record of strong sales
management. In the new role, he will report directly to ST-NXP Wireless
CEO, Alain Dutheil.
Langlois, who holds a
Bachelor's degree in Electronics and CAD Tool Systems from the
University of Paris, spent 12 years at VLSI Technology, rising through
the ranks to the position of VP and General Manager for Europe, Asia
Pacific and Japan. In 1999, he joined Philips Semiconductors as Vice
President and General Manager of Sales & Marketing for the
Automotive Segment, and was promoted in 2003 to Senior Vice President,
Channel Management and Multimarket Semiconductors Sales.
In
2006, Langlois was named Senior Vice President, Global Sales, and a
member of the executive management team at NXP, an independent
semiconductor company founded by Philips, which contributed its key
wireless operations to the recently created joint venture with
STMicroelectronics.
