EDISON, N.J. Aug. 26, 2008 -- Mformation® Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of mobile
device
management (MDM) solutions, today announced that a joint solution
for Over-the-Air Subscriber and Device Provisioning in WiMAX, from
Mformation® Technologies Inc, and Bridgewater
Systems, a leading provider of subscriber–centric
service control solutions, has been named a finalist for IEC's 2008 InfoVision Award in the category of Network and Services
Management and Operations.
“The IEC’s
InfoVision Awards commend the top contributors to the information and
communications technologies (ICT) industry. We’re
extremely pleased to recognize Mformation and Bridgewater Systems as
InfoVision finalists for their joint solution for Over-the-air
Subscriber and Device Provisioning in WiMAX,”
announced IEC President John Janowiak.
The joint Mformation-Bridgewater Systems solution provides a
comprehensive subscriber and device over-the-air provisioning solution
that enables WiMAX operators to automatically detect, recognize,
provision and manage devices and subscribers over WiMAX networks. The
solution pairs Bridgewater Systems® service
control and subscriber data management with MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER™,
Mformation’s market-leading OMA-DM-compliant
device management platform, enabling operators to automatically detect
and identify subscribers and devices on the network, and seamlessly
activate, provision, configure, diagnose, update, secure and manage
devices over the air throughout their lifecycle. This means reduced
service introduction costs for operators and an enhanced quality of
experience for subscribers, who have high expectations when it comes to
their mobile service experience.
"It's an honor to have our joint solution with Bridgewater Systems named
an InfoVision finalist by the IEC, which recognizes innovative
contributions and developments that have proven important to the
communications industry. We are making huge strides in the WiMAX space
and this award is recognition of that progress," said Matt Bancroft, VP,
Mformation.
