SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 25, 2008 -- Zscaler, a multi-tenant SaaS security service, announced
today that Divakaran Mangalath has joined the company as Vice President of India Operations. Divakaran brings a 30-year track record of experience in various technology leadership roles. He was recognized for his technology leadership by Business Week magazine in the 2006 "Champions of Innovation" Top 25 list.
As CTO of Wipro, Divakaran was responsible for leading technology and innovation initiatives in areas such as grid computing, service-oriented architecture, collaboration, and wireless and broadband technologies. Prior to taking over as CTO, Divakaran headed Wipro's Embedded Solutions division and led its growth into new global industry segments, including Consumer, Automotive and Industrial Automation. From 1994 to 2000, he managed the Telecom Technology business. He has been involved in Wipro's global businesses since 1991 and pioneered Offshore Development Centers (ODC) for large technology companies. Earlier in his career, Divakaran was instrumental in the design and development of a series of popular mini computers in the Indian market.
