First Telematics & Traffic Info Service Summit in China to Debut in Shanghai Print E-mail
SHANGHAI, China  Aug. 28, 2008 -- Organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China

(SAE-China), Telematics@China, the first Telematics & Traffic Information Services Summit in China will be held on December 12th at Shanghai Huating Hotel & Towers.

Based on the theme "Let automobile drivers enjoy information services as mobile phone users do," Telematics@China will, for the first time, thoroughly analyze the status quo and development trend of the Chinese Telematics industry. Over 400 delegates throughout the value chain of the Telematics industry will be present, including 30 speakers of top elites in the industry worldwide. Executive Director-General of SAE-China Mr. Xiaoyu Zhang will deliver a speech entitled "Automotive Informationization Brings Abundant Opportunities."

NaviForum will support Telematics@China as its agenda partner. Telematics@China will shed light on discussions about hot topics in the Chinese Telematics industry and explore new business models and service demands under current Chinese situations. SAE-China Profile

Founded in 1963, SAE-China is a national and academic corporate body and a non-profit organization composed voluntarily by enterprises, institutions, incorporations and professionals in the fields of automotive and relative industries which focus on research, design, manufacture, education, sales, management and so on. It is also a member of the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA) as well as one of the initiators in organizing the International Pacific Conference on Automotive Engineering (IPC), which now is renamed as the Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference (APAC).

NaviForum is organized by three Chinese departments: the Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization, the Ministry of Science and Technology; the Department of Map Management, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping; and the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality.
