CrackBerry.com Launches On-Device BlackBerry® App Store Powered by MobiHand Print E-mail
SAN MATEO, Calif.  Sept. 25, 2008 -- MobiHand, Inc., a leading provider of mobile content and

application stores, today announced that CrackBerry.com, the largest Internet community for BlackBerry enthusiasts, has launched the first MobiHand-powered, on-device App Store for BlackBerry smartphone users.

The new on-device store allows users to easily and quickly browse and search thousands of applications compatible with their specific phone by best-sellers, new, updated, free, and discounted categories. The store will integrate with BlackBerry Wallet to make users' initial purchase faster and easier. Once registered, users can purchase applications with a single click and have them delivered over-the-air within seconds.

MobiHand President and CEO, Steve Howard, said, "The huge success of the Apple iTunes App Store has rapidly increased consumer awareness of the range of great applications that are already available for other leading smartphones. With hundreds of co-branded stores currently in operation, MobiHand has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver great App Stores for the desktop, now we're prepared to rapidly roll out on-device App Stores for every smartphone platform -- starting today with BlackBerry."

"MobiHand has done it again, delivering industry-leading innovation and services for the BlackBerry community," said Kevin Michaluk, Founder, CrackBerry.com. "When BlackBerry users want to add software enhancements and media to their device, the new CrackBerry App Store will provide such vast improvement in user experience that it will fast become the preferred mode of purchase, by expert users and novices alike."

To celebrate the launch of the new store, CrackBerry.com and MobiHand are running their largest "MobileHeist" event ever -- offering 25 top-selling BlackBerry applications for only $9.95, representing discounts as high as 70%. The MobileHeist will be available only in the on-device CrackBerry App Store and will run from September 23rd until September 29th.

MobiHand plans to launch similar co-branded, on-device AppStores for other smartphone platforms including Android, Symbian, Palm, and Windows Mobile in the coming weeks.
