BOULDER, Colo. Oct. 2, 2008 -- WildCharge Inc., a company that is revolutionizing electric power
delivery to mobile devices with its patented wire-free power technology,
announced the availability of its WildCharge Skins for the popular
BlackBerry Pearl and Curve smartphones in the US beginning October 6th,
2008.
The WildCharge Skins are durable, protective gel cases that have
WildCharge’s wire-free power technology
built-in. As such, the Skins help protect BlackBerry smartphones from
scratches and impact damage. Once inserted inside a Skin, a BlackBerry
device can be placed anywhere, and at any orientation, on the company’s
award-winning WildCharger charging pad and instantly receive full
wire-free power.
"WildCharge’s technology is more than a
simple charging solution for mobile devices –
it’s a revolution that will ultimately
eliminate the array of tangled chargers, AC adapters and cords consumers
regularly deal with,” CEO Dennis Grant said
while demonstrating a simultaneous charging of BlackBerry Curve and
Pearl smartphones on the WildCharger pad. “In
the near future, we expect our technology to offer true economical and
environmental benefits by reducing the number of AC adapters in the
household – ultimately reducing the standby
electricity leakage from plugged-in but unused AC adapters.”
WildCharge products will initially be sold in the US through the company’s
website at www.wildcharge.com
Later this year, development partners, who are licensed through
WildCharge’s Technology Partner Program, plan
to introduce wire-free products for other popular consumer electronic
devices.
