WATERTOWN, Mass. Oct. 14, 2008 -- Enterprise Mobile today announced the availability of a
full
suite of service offerings designed to help organizations migrate
to and/or deploy Microsoft Systems Center Mobile Device Manager (MDM). A
key partner in Microsoft’s MDM beta program,
Enterprise Mobile has amassed a wealth of technology and implementation
experience helping organizations deploy strategic enterprise mobility
programs on MDM. This level of experience and insight was
instrumental in the development of Enterprise Mobile’s
unique MDM service offerings.
As the number of mobile workers continues to grow, companies are
striving to achieve and maintain control over their workforce’s
mobile devices. While realizing the benefits of a Windows Mobile device
deployment, enterprise IT managers also worry about how to manage and
secure these devices in a way that protects sensitive data, network
access and other valuable corporate assets. With its comprehensive suite
of service solutions, Enterprise Mobile can provide organizations
enhanced on-device security, over-the-air policy enforcement, simplified
centralized control and VPN connectivity.
Leveraging proven best practices and methodologies, Enterprise Mobile
works with organizations to plan, implement and manage mobility
initiatives that address the needs of end users, IT and the enterprise
as a whole. Enterprise Mobile’s three distinct
MDM services address key challenges:
-
MDM Assessment – For companies
considering MDM, Enterprise Mobile works with IT to create a lab
environment in which to assess MDM’s
capabilities
-
MDM QuickStart – This proof of
concept service for 10 to 20 pilot users tests a proof of concept of
an MDM pilot within a controlled environment
-
MDM Go Live – Enterprise Mobile works
with an organization’s staff to install MDM
in a production environment at designated sites/servers and provide
ongoing lifecycle services
Enterprises can choose the full suite of MDM services, or select the
service(s) that best suit their organization’s
unique device management and mobile communications challenges. With
support from Enterprise Mobile, MDM is designed to resolve pain points
before engaging in a full Windows Mobile deployment.
The MDM Assessment phase allows enterprises to source infrastructure
requirements across the organization and learn best practices for device
management from Enterprise Mobile’s Mobility
Consultants, who have extensive experience deploying MDM. The second
phase, MDM QuickStart, involves a 10 – 20
user pilot which enables the evaluation of a variety of mobile device
form factors and a thorough understanding of MDM features and deployment
recommendations to gather an organization’s
requirements for their mobility strategy. Finally, in the MDM Go Live
phase, Enterprise Mobile on-site technical resources draw on knowledge
gained in large-scale rollouts to ensure a speedy and successful
deployment.
“Enterprise Mobile was instrumental in
designing and deploying Microsoft’s System
Center Mobile Device Manager software at Northern Ireland Civil Service,”
said Jim Duffy of Northern Ireland Civil Service. “Thoughtful
planning and a well-designed test program allowed us to be one of the
earliest adopters of this new technology.”
“Before an organization continues down a
blind path of an enterprise-wide mobile deployment, they should consider
the same factors that would be part of a PC and desktop management
strategy like security, regulatory compliance and remote access to
information on corporate networks,” said Mort
Rosenthal, chairman and CEO of Enterprise Mobile. “Enterprise
Mobile supports the Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager and
helps organizations at any phase of their mobile deployment achieve a
seamless implementation, and ensure ongoing management of each device
connected to the network.”
