OTTAWA, Ont., Canada May 4, 2009 -- Rove Inc., developer of system administration software that
provides
mobile management of IT systems and infrastructure, announced that its
flagship product, Mobile Admin, fully supports the newly launched
Research in Motion (RIM) BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.
Mobile Admin generates dramatic cost savings by significantly improving
the response time of on-call BES administrators. Through Mobile Admin,
BES administrators can manage users, set new passwords and IT policies,
disable BlackBerry services, display BES 5 servers and server details,
as well as lock and kill handhelds from anywhere, at any time. In
addition to these BES 5 administration tasks that can be performed on a
BlackBerry, Mobile Admin exposes over 300 functions across dozens of
servers, systems and services on a wide range of smartphones.
Rove introduced support for BES 5 with the March launch of Mobile Admin
4.2. The large community of BES users have embraced Mobile Admin since
the product’s initial release in 2002. “We were the first RIM partner to
provide BES 2.2 administration in 2004," said Rob Woodbridge, President
and CEO of Rove. “Now, five years later, support for BES 5 is just one
more example of the way we’re working together to deliver to our
customers unprecedented responsiveness and as a result, significant IT
cost savings.”
