JangoMail Announces Industry-First SMTP Relay Service with Tracking Functionality for Transactional Print E-mail
DAYTON, Ohio  June 16, 2009 -- JangoMail, an industry leader in permission-based email marketing,

announced today it has added industry-first functionality to its email marketing service for transactional emails. The trackable SMTP Relay feature, an industry-first, will allow email marketers to connect to the JangoMail system via SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) instead of the company’s API -- making the platform easy to adopt. This feature is available now and offers a robust reporting module for tracking email campaigns.

As an extension to JangoMail’s Transactional Email platform, the new trackable SMTP Relay functionality will provide users with open tracking, click tracking, DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)  signing as well as log files for confirmation of email delivery. In addition, the feature can be utilized by email marketers using Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird or any other desktop email client. According to the United States’ CAN-SPAM law, a transactional message is defined as any email “facilitating, completing or confirming a previously agreed upon transaction.”

“We are excited to launch the first-ever trackable SMTP relay service for email marketers who have JangoMail running as the engine behind their applications that send individually triggered email messages to single recipients,” said Ajay Goel, President of JangoMail. “Furthering our commitment to this offering, JangoMail will also soon introduce a dedicated Web site for the SMTP service later in the year.”

Security Software Vendor Utilizing JangoMail’s New Trackable SMTP Service

Headquartered in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Comvigo is a privately owned Internet security company dedicated to protecting both businesses and consumers. Comvigo’s IM Lock software offers powerful instant message blocking and Internet content filtering capabilities. "The JangoMail SMTP Relay service allows IM Lock customers to send emailed reports and customer contacts directly from the desktop,” said James Tanner, President at Comvigo. “We use an ActiveX control, and the configuration was quick and easy. We are able to create a high volume of formatted, trackable customer contacts without the risks and hassles of managing our own SMTP server.”

JangoMail is widely used by leading organizations for a range of marketing and sales purposes, including customer loyalty programs, newsletters, product announcements, and other sales and promotional activities. The Web-based JangoMail service enables organizations to develop, distribute and measure targeted, permission-based email marketing campaigns.
