Oslo, Norway June 24, 2009 -- Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei"),
a leader in providing
next-generation telecommunications network
solutions for operators around the world, today announced that
Norwegian operator, Telenor has chosen Huawei to provide LTE (Long Term
Evolution) radio access and EPC (Evolved Packet Core) equipment for its
LTE trial in Oslo, Norway.
Aimed at testing services and applications, such as VOD
(Video-On-Demand), VOIP (Voice-Over-Internet Protocol), network
handover and network throughput, the LTE trial will involve Telenor' s
Group Business Development & Research as well as several operating
companies within the Group.
Yogesh Malik, Senior Vice President, Head of Technology & Sourcing,

understanding the LTE capabilities and the LTE position in the overall

All the necessary equipments have been shipped to Oslo and installation has begun.
