22 May 2007 - Capricode releases a new version of their mobile device management solution, SyncShield® 3.1.
In addition to traditional mobile device management features such as settings, provisioning and data synchronization, SyncShield offers desktop-like remote management of smartphones. Companies can install applications, backup and lock the devices over-the-air. This new release offers service providers and large enterprises a structured method of managing groups of devices in multilevel organizations. Capricode is offering a no cost 30 day evaluation of SyncShield to allow any organization to see the true benefits of mobile device management.
In today’s mobile world smartphones are an essential part of a mobile worker's toolkit. “It is of utmost importance to manage these devices on 24/7 basis - whether the employee is at the office or on the other side of the world” emphasizes Jonny Kaarlenkaski, CEO of Capricode. With SyncShield it is possible to take an emergency backup, wipe out company confidential content and lock a mobile device, wherever that device is in the world. “We estimate to be 12-18 months ahead in the device management technology. Our solution is vendor independent and works in any network.”
“Companies lose huge amounts of time and money when trying to cope with the ever growing pool of mobile devices” says Jukka Koutaniemi, CTO of Capricode. “With SyncShield it is possible to minimize device management costs and save the time of both IT departments and employees” adds Koutaniemi. “We have received very positive feedback from our customers that the evaluation requires no implementation process. And that the actual product installation is done within hours and no special hardware or software is needed” he concludes.
In addition to enterprises, SyncShield is used by mobile service providers and carriers offering advanced mobile device management services to their customers.
